It possesses excellent thermal characteristics and electrical insulating properties. However, PCBs are highly toxic, do not naturally degrade, and produce harmful byproducts when burned. Prolonged exposure to these oils can also pose potential health risks.<\/p>\n<p>API Capacitors Ltd offers a solution for stakeholders who have capacitor products on their premises or infrastructures that may still contain PCB oils. Typically, products containing PCBs are labeled as such or may bear one of the numerous brand names used by various manufacturers marketing these oils. While API cannot dispose of products containing PCBs, they can provide a retro-fit or drop-in replacement capacitor product for many applications where a PCB-filled capacitor was once used.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, API assisted a major transport operator in London by replacing polychlorinated biphenyl oil-filled capacitors used on maintenance trains.
